Bag Gloves

Bag gloves or pad gloves have traditionally been an important part of the combat kit bag. Designed to be lighter and smaller than a Boxing Glove, it allows the user to build speed and accuracy when hitting the bag or pads. For modern combat fitness training such as 'Boxercise', this is the glove that you need.

There are so many different options it is often difficult to know which glove is the right one for you. Our experts are here to talk you through the process on 'Live Chat', email or via telephone. So please take advantage of this and ask as many questions as you need to!

When selecting you Bag glove it is important to take into consideration the amount, style & intensity of training that you are involved with. A P.U glove may look financially attractive but it will not offer the protection or the durability of a leather or syntek version.

For Occasional Use:

  • P.U or standard leather gloves will be suitable.
  • Many styles will have additional wrist straps or support which help when learning to punch correctly.
For Regular Use:
  • A leather glove with wrist support will offer the protection required.
  • The standard of leather will always be reflected in the price.
  • The padding around the knuckle area will also vary
For Heavy Hitters:

  • A deluxe leather glove with good wrist support and additional padding on the knuckle area is advised. In many cases heavy hitters will switch to a small Boxing glove which offers even more padding.

Other Information:
  • Other non leather materials such as 'Syntek', 'Maya' & 'Nu-Buck' are often very good quality, offering better value than a cheaper leather option. It is worth discussing the options with us.
  • Where you see technology such as 'I-Core', 'L-Core', 'I-Protech' & 'Clima-Cool, this means that additional features have gone into the manufacture of the item, usually adding to the safety and comfort .
  • Ergonomically designed gloves are pre-moulded to the shape of the fist, so that less effort is required when clenching.
